Spending over 25 years of doing this work, I found that traditional therapy seemed to follow a similar pattern everywhere I looked. The work often felt very “cookie-cutter” by giving the same tools to very different situations and expecting different results.
Through personal experiences and hearing other’s mirrored stories, I realized that traditional therapy may not be the answer for everyone. In its mission to slow-walk individuals toward personal revelations, traditional therapy can lack the direction and future-focused questions and challenges of each unique individual. This lack of personalized treatment can often leave others feeling stuck and overwhelmed with how to move forward.
I opened “The Toolbox” in 2020 to address these gaps in individual focused care and help others build a path forward. People are tired of the “how do you feel about that” fluff when it comes to tackling life’s biggest challenges. I built the Toolbox around ditching the fluff and getting to real progress.
No magic beans here or philosophical feeling questions, all this requires is you being willing to be real and honest about what is going on. Together, we find practical coping skills and game-changing tools to empower you to build the future you want.
Your story is one of a kind, why should your healing journey be any different? We will uncover your strengths and build upon them to empower you with the knowledge to work through any challenge. Change is not only possible, but with the Toolbox it’s practical.
If you are reading this post, I know you are in a place where you are ready for something new. By researching services, you have already started the first step of any coaching journey, being willing to dive into the process. We can’t wait to dive into this journey with you.

What a session with me is like
Honestly, I’ve spent years in traditional therapy myself. I started my journey as a teenager after a car accident that brought many physical and emotional struggles to my life. Don’t get me wrong, those deep talks and lightbulb moments with therapists helped, but after retelling my story for the millionth time, I kept thinking, “Okay, what’s next?” I understood my triggers, my issues, my past, yet I still felt stuck, just waiting for something to shift or provide direction.
If you’ve ever felt like traditional counseling is more talk than action, you’re not alone. I wanted more than just to analyze my feelings, I wanted to actually do something about them. When I finished my psychology degree and did my internships, I hit a crossroads: should I stick to the usual therapy route or try something different? When I dove headfirst into life coaching, it instantly felt right, even when people were skeptical about whether it was legit. But here’s the truth: coaching made a massive difference in my own life, and I realized I could help others in a way that truly matters.
Therapy and life coaching both have their strengths, but there are clear differences between them. Therapy often involves diving into the past and working on treatment from there. Coaching starts where you are, right now. There is a time to dive into the past, but when you are struggling with challenges in every-day life, you need practical strategies and tools to move forward. Therapy works to face your past head on, Coaching uses your past as a rear-view mirror as you drive toward the future you want.
After more than twenty years doing this work, I have found what works to spark real change. My style cuts straight to your goal and we work to create clear, action steps that give you hope and motivation for the coming week. At the end of the session, you don’t just leave with another appointment but a plan for what is next.
So, what’s it like to sit with me for a coaching session? Picture yourself dropping by a good friend’s cozy living room to talk about life. The highs and the lows. I’ve worked hard to create a space where you’ll feel completely comfortable and heard. Our relationship is built on trust, friendship, and one simple investment: your growth.
Unlike traditional counseling, which can feel boxed in by boundaries and theory, coaching with me is relaxed, real, and collaborative. We’ll share experiences, swap ideas about what’s worked (and what hasn’t), and together, we’ll build strategies, introduce new tools, and find methods that finally bring real, lasting change to your life.
If you’re tired of waiting for things to get better and ready to actually do something about it, life coaching is your chance to break free from old patterns and take charge of your future. Let’s get moving, your brighter, more confident life starts now.
